James Draeger

Associate Scientist

James is an analytical scientist who graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors in Chemistry from the University of Arizona. During his undergraduate research, he led research projects analyzing organic semiconductor degradation via FTIR spectroscopy, and developed a method for quantifying gaseous ozone using wet chemistry techniques.

Prior to joining Spectrum, James worked heavily with HPLC and GC instruments to carry out GMP-compliant pharmaceutical analysis. Based out of Spectrum’s Semiconductor Physical Chemistry Lab in Arizona, he is utilizing his experience with FTIRs to perform environmental testing as well as assisting with the development and assembly of new instrumentation.
